- Is EverVows only for marriage-minded members?
- Yes. EverVows is not a dating app. Every member joins with the intention of pursuing a God-centered, covenant marriage. Casual browsing is discouraged and casual conduct is moderated.
- How does profile verification work?
- After you complete your profile and upload your photos, your profile enters a pending review queue. A member of our staff reviews it by hand — reading your profile details and checking your photos against our community standards — and then approves it or asks you to resubmit with notes. Once approved, your profile becomes visible in search.
- Can someone message me out of the blue?
- No. A member must first send you a connection request. Only when you accept does a conversation thread open. You may decline any request without explanation.
- Why are photos blurred?
- Photo privacy is on by default so you are known first by your faith and character. Your photo is revealed once a connection request is accepted by both members.
- What is anonymous mode?
- Anonymous mode hides your profile from general search. You remain visible only to members you contact directly, which is helpful for members in small congregations or public ministry.
- Who is Pastor Grace?
- Pastor Grace is our AI faith coach: a warm, Biblically grounded guide for questions about courtship, boundaries, family involvement and covenant marriage. She responds in English or Spanish and is never a substitute for your own pastor.
- How is the Faith Compatibility Score calculated?
- It weighs shared convictions: denomination alignment, faith level, church attendance and ministry involvement, family values and lifestyle, and your stated partner criteria. Premium members see the score on every profile.
- Are messages monitored?
- Every message is screened before delivery. Disrespectful or sexually explicit content is blocked instantly and flagged for admin review. Repeat violations lead to suspension.
- Is the platform available in Spanish?
- Yes. EverVows is fully bilingual. You can switch between English and Español from any page, and Scripture and coaching appear in your chosen language.
- What does Premium cost?
- Premium is $9.99 per month, or the annual plan at a 20% discount. Payment is processed securely by Stripe in USD, and you can cancel anytime.
- Who reviews profiles?
- Our own staff. Review is manual: an authorized administrator opens each pending profile in an internal review panel, decides to approve or return it, and leaves notes you can read on your review status page. Reviews are not automated.
- What does the 24 to 48 hour window mean?
- It is our target turnaround for a first review, not a guarantee. Volume, time zones and profiles that need a second look can take longer. You can always see the current state of your profile — pending, approved or returned — on your review status page, and you receive an email and a notification whenever it changes.
- How do I report a profile or a message?
- Inside any conversation you can report the other member; the report is stored for our team to review. You can also end the connection at any time, which closes the conversation for both of you.
- How do connection requests work?
- You send a connection request instead of a message. If the other member accepts, a moderated conversation opens and photo blur is lifted for both of you. Free members can send up to 3 requests and hold up to 5 accepted connections, and every member holds one active connection at a time — end the current one before starting another.
